WHY We don’t use acrylic sheets in our cabins with low pressure VHR lamps?

1) A cabin is made for low maintenance such as; not cleaning the smudges on acrylic sheets after each customer which is very difficult in a small space for the salon employee.

2) A regular brand new acrylic sheet cuts UVA, UVB by 8% The UVA transmissivity is lost up to 20 % in two weeks if the collecting dust is not cleaned off the inner side of the acrylic sheet.

3) All acrylic sheets cut off some of the UVB region which is very important for that extra tan.

4) Replacing acrylic sheets at least every two years cost the owner.

That is why all serious cabins are made without the acrylic sheets. Having a cabin with acrylic sheets instead of strong steel grids is like; installing brand new lamps with a loss of 200 hours to begin with in terms of performance.
